a) merit of the candidate (50%):

(i) Academic degrees, including final grades (30%);

(ii) personal curriculum (20%);

b) merit of the research project (50%):

(i) relevance (10%);

(ii) scientific quality of the state of the art and methodology (30%);

(iii) practicability (10%).

Research projects will be valued if they demonstrate a relevant contribution to one of the following teams of the CEC: 1. Applicants who, at the end of the entire evaluation process, have been evaluated with less than 16 points will not be considered eligible for the grant.

For tie-breaking purposes, candidates will be ranked based on the marks awarded for each of the evaluation criteria in the following order of precedence: criterion A1, criterion A2, criterion B2, criterion B1, criterion B3.

Applicants with diplomas issued by foreign higher education institutions may apply and will be evaluated using the same criteria as applicants with diplomas issued by Portuguese institutions, as long as they make proof, in their application, of the academic degree recognition and the conversion of the final classification for the Portuguese scale under the terms of the applicable legislation.

Applicants with recognized foreign diplomas who do not make proof of conversion of the final classification to the Portuguese scale or applicants who do not present a diploma (replaced by a statement of compliance) will be evaluated with a minimum classification of 10 points in the criterion “(i) Academic degrees”.
