Information Science

The Information Science research group has 13 researchers, including the professors of the Programme and Master Degree in Documentation and Information Sciences of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. It has defined the following lines of research: (1) training and employability in Information Science; (2) management and communication of information; (3) the production and circulation of paper and books in Portugal; and (4) information behaviour. The team's work reflects the research focus of each of its members. However, the team seeks to develop collective research projects, examples of which are the following non-funded ongoing projects: "Information professionals in municipal archives in Portugal", "Information professionals in public libraries in Portugal", and "The personal archives of women in Portugal".
