Fiona Macintosh, Tiphaine Karsenti, Cécile Dudouyt and Sofia Frade are very happy to announce that the 2023 edition of the APGRD/HAR symposium will take place in Portugal, under a new name.
The CHORUS Symposium will be hosted by Sofia Frade at the university of Lisbon on 13-14 April 2023. While the APGRD and HAR will continue to support and advertise the event, its new name reflects the fact that everyone working on the reception of ancient drama is welcome to join – irrespective of institutional affiliations – and be part of the vibrant informal research community these annual meetings have gathered over the years.
The main theme in 2023 will be ‘Entertainment and Subversion / Divertissement et subversion’ but slots will be kept free for those who simply want to present their current research interests, or creative projects (performances or films welcome!).
