Ana Margarida is a researcher at the Centre for Classical Studies, integrated on the team ‘Humanistica’, and a PhD candidate, with a thesis on the Portuguese Humanist Luís Teixeira (Lobo), entitled “Luís Teixeira, aluno de Poliziano: vida e obra”, under the supervision of Prof. Ana María Tarrío (U. Lisbon), Prof. Daniela Gionta (U. Messina), and Prof. José María Maestre Maestre (U. Cádiz). She won a FCT Fellowship grant for this project. After her MA (2021), she focused on the life and work of Jorge Fernandes, also known as ‘Fradinho da Rainha’ and Frei Paulo da Cruz, she continued her research on the Portuguese Renaissance and on the relations between Italy and Portugal in the 15th and 16th centuries.
