I was trained in European Literary Cultures and Classical Literature in Italy, France and Portugal, and I've graduated with a thesis, written and debated in French, on the pedantic book 'Hypnerotomachia Poliphili' (princeps: Venice, 1499) by Francesco Colonna. Currently, I am focused on the works and days of the Humanist Damião de Góis (1502-1574), studying the impact of the Portuguese 'descobrimentos' outside their national threshold, in order to expound the developing of a new geographical episteme, as a product of all the knowledges at disposal and the discursive structure between them and the devices of power.

Interests: Damião de Góis; Portuguese Humanism; Italian Humanism; Latin Literature; Romance Literatures; Oceanic Explorations
