Ana Alexandra Alves de Sousa has a PHD since 2001. At the University of Lisbon, she has been teaching ancient Greek, Latin, Greek literature, Greek culture, and classic culture. She is an integrated researcher of the Centre for Classical Studies of Lisbon and a collaborated researcher of the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies at the University of Coimbra.
Interests: Ptolemaic Egypt, Hellenistic poetry, Hellenistic scholarship, Apollonius of Rhodes, Attic theater, Epic, the Hippocratic corpus and ancient medicine, geography, Greek syntax, and reception (literature and music).
