HPRT 1. IMPERIALIA: Neronian, Flavian, and Antonine literature

The team Imperialia investigates the complexity of writing literature in the post-Augustan era. It aims to explore imperial literature with a focus in the future: rethinking and opening new avenues to approaching central authors such as Seneca, Statius, Quintilian, Pliny-the-Elder, Tacitus. The team carries on and strengthens the efforts towards increasing the impact of its outputs by working with wide-circulation publishing houses. Imperialia is also committed to making Classics reach non-academic audiences as widely as possible. Therefore, the team has produced Portuguese translations of the Classics and several virtual exhibitions with Google Arts and Culture.

TOPICS: Flavian-Antonine literature, post-Augustan literature, textual criticism, Classics in Portuguese translation.
