Prof. Aires Augusto Nascimento, who signs also as Aires A. Nascimento, along forty years of scientific publications published a large lot of about fifty hundreds of articles and monographies in rule of Medieval Latin Philology, like studies of manuscripts, editions of texts and their translation, especially of Portuguese medieval tradition, whose study he promoted and established as historical and material documents. He was Professor at University of Lisbon, Faculty of Arts – Classical Philology and Literature, learning particularly Mediaeval Latin Language and Literature, Codicology, Translation Latin Studies. As Director of Center of Classical Studies, he was also Director of Euphrosyne, review of Classical Philology and other studies. At that review he published another lot of critical reviewings, about fifty ones. He is member of different academies, national (Academia das Ciências de Lisboa, Academia Portuguesa da História) and foreigners. He also directed scientific projects and studies.
