Teresa Segurado holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Assistance (1997) from ISLA - Instituto Superior de Línguas e Administração. In 2004, she completed a Postgraduate degree in Documentary Sciences at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. She also holds a Master's degree in Archive, Library, and Information Science (2009) from the University of Évora. She has been working at the Iscte - University Institute of Lisbon Library since September 2004, and since 2010, she has served as the Coordinator of the Information and Training Unit of the Information and Documentation Services. Her work has always been related to Open Access, Open Science, and, more recently, Research Data Management. In this context, she participated in the creation of the Iscte Institutional Repository in 2006 and is responsible for its management. User support and training have also been a constant in her work. Since 2018, she has served as the Quality Liaison for the Information and Documentation Services (SID), and in this capacity, she also manages the design and implementation of user studies. In the context of her ongoing PhD research, she is working on maturity models in Higher Education Institution (HEI) libraries, with a specific focus on the librarians within these institutions.
